10 Years and Still Growing Strong:
Celebrating a Decade Dedicated to Trees for Life
This year, Trees for Life celebrates 10 years of community, collaboration, and impact. Since 2015, we have worked with people and partners across the country to bring tree-planting projects to life, from trails to highways, urban parks to schoolyards. Together with municipalities, tree planting organizations, non-profits, and local volunteers, we have helped expand canopy cover, restore ecosystems, and foster connection between people and the environment.
One of our proudest achievements is the growing network of Hero Forests - public groves dedicated to honouring those who uplift our communities: veterans, healthcare workers, educators, first responders, Indigenous leaders, and everyday heroes. With over 3.3 million trees planted, these living tributes continue to be powerful reminders of the values we share. As a trusted partner in the Federal Government's 2 Billion Trees program, it is our commitment to increase the leafy canopy in communities across the country, and help Canada meet its 2040 net-zero carbon emissions goal.
As we reflect on the past decade, we are filled with gratitude for our supporters, collaborators, and everyone who has helped nurture this national movement. Your passion and partnership has made all this work possible. And we are just getting started. With your help, we look forward to planting more trees, telling more stories, and deepening our roots in communities for generations to come.
