Native trees and shrubs have been planted in the shape of a maple leaf, creating a Welcome Forest at Greenwood Conservation Area.

To mark the Town of Ajax’s 70th Anniversary, this Welcome Forest stands as a place to celebrate new Canadians, the Canadian flag and all those that have chosen to call Ajax home.

The Welcome Forest concept was a long-time dream of Trees for Life co-founder Michael de Pencier and we proudly planted these trees in his memory.
